3 Days Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire.

Our Safari Overview

This 3 days package also offers the possibility of seeing the Big-Five, This is a package for those with only a few days to experience a great safari. If you are in Zanzibar, Dar-Es-Salaam, you can book morning short flight to Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) where our guide will pick you up and head straight to the first National Parks. You will spend your night(s) in a lodge and the next day after visiting the final National Park you will be dropped at the airport in time for your flight back to Dar or Zanzibar. Departure at a moment’s notice is possible. Package is suitable for single individuals, couples, small and large groups alike. If you didn’t come from Zanzibar, Visiting Zanzibar or Mafia Island can be a possible extension to this package, you can also choose to do this trip right after you finish climbing up Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru. The package can also be modified so that you sleep in the national parks for those interested in experiencing the calls of lions or laughter of hyenas at night nights in the parks.

Detailed Itienerary

Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park.

Pick up from Arusha/Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park where your safari will begin. Although this park is small in size, it still offers a large number of animals species and birds in varied habitats: ranging from acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, hot springs and the lake/Swamp. The Park is world famous for its tree-climbing lions, its elephants, hippos, giraffes, flamingos, leopards and magnificent bird life. The Park is set out on East Africa’s stunning Rift Valley landscape and has an eco-system unlike any other park. In the afternoon we’ll meander up the rift valley to our lodge in Karatu.

Meals included: Lunch and Dinner. | Accommodation: Motto Cottages / Lake Burunge Tented Lodge.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater.

Today will be all about the Ngorongoro conservation area and the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. The trip will start after breakfast where we will descend into the crater for a fantastic day of game viewing. The crater, the 8th wonder of the world and a designated world heritage site, is a collapsed volcano home to more than 30,000 animals including all of Africa’s Big Five amongst which is the critically endangered black rhino. We will also have the optional opportunity of visiting a Maasai Boma (village) should you choose to see how this magnificent tribe lives in a primitive manner. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, you will ascend from the crater and head back to our lodge in the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire will be our final park before concluding our safari. The Park is famed for having the highest concentration of elephants in the entire world that can be seen among its spectacular baobab trees that are suspected to live for hundreds of years. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which is the only source of water for the animals during dry season, hence attracting lots of wildlife. Its many river circuits game driving loops will give us a chance to see plenty of animals on the river banks in search of water. After a full day of fantastic game driving in Tarangire we will transfer to the Drop off point in Arusha or to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar and beyond.
