Our Safari Overview
With this package there is a big chance that you will get to witness the great wildebeest migration crossing the Grumeti river between the months of May – July. The great wildebeest migration consists of over 1.5 Million animals that roam to different parts of the Serengeti Throughout the year in search for greener pasture and water.
With this package you also spend three full days exploring the Serengeti. With so many days in the world’s best national park, you will be sure to see and experience plenty. Just like the rest of our packages, it has been organized in a way that you will explore with maximum relaxation and comfort for ultimate enjoyment.
Only high season prices have been provided for the great migration packages as it’s only during the high seasons that the herds do the crossing

Detailed Itienerary
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport upon arrival and transfer to your accommodation in Arusha for pre-safari briefing dinner & overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park.
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, world famous for its tree climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, flamingos, leopards and a magnificent bird life. The park is set out on east Africa’s stunning Rift Valley landscape and has varied habitats: ranging from acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, hot springs, swamps and the lake where all its animals can be found. Well also visit a hot water spring in Lake Manyara where the water flows through volcanic rock and comes out so hot that it burns to the touch (it is said that the water is hot enough to boil an Egg we dare you to bring one for trial). We will later exit from Lake Manyara and head to our lodge Up the rift valley for a night of relaxation and unwinding.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park (West).
Today you will leave for Serengeti National Park. Your game driving will start the moment you enter the park and comes lunch time you will have a picnic lunch in the bush before proceeding with the game driving while heading to your lodge that is located in the western Serengeti for a hot meal dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (West).
Today we’ll track the great migration patterns in western Serengeti’s Grumeti area and Grumeti River. It is here that we might have a chance to see the great migration crossing the Grumeti river or the (Mbalageti river) battling with the high river tide and fast flowing water as well as the hungry crocodiles in the river. After overcoming this challenge, the herds have to also face the predators. After day with the herds, we will head back to our lodge and the spend the night.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Central).
Morning transfer to the central part of the Serengeti where you will spend the day exploring and game driving, the central part of Serengeti is perfect for game viewing all year round because of its abundance of wildlife due to presence of food and water all year round. It is famous for its Lions and leopards that can be seen with no difficulty. Comes evening, we will head to our new lodge in the central part of the Serengeti for our last night in the park.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early morning breakfast at our lodge, we prepare to descend into the crater for a fantastic day of game viewing. The crater is the 8th wonder of the world and a designated world heritage site, is a collapsed volcano home to more than 30,000 animals including all of Africa’s Big Five amongst which is the critically endangered black rhino. We will also have the optional opportunity of visiting a Maasai Boma (village) should you choose to see how this magnificent tribe lives in a primitive manner. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, you will ascend from the crater and transfer back our first hotel or campsite for a night of relaxation and unwinding.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park.
Morning transfer into Tarangire National Park The park is famed for having the highest concentration of elephants in the entire world that can be seen among its spectacular baobab trees that are suspected to live for hundreds of years. It is named after the Tarangire River which is the only source of water for the animals during dry season, hence attracting lots of wildlife. Its many river circuits game driving loops will give us a chance to see plenty of animals on the river banks in search of water. After experiencing the African wild at its best, you’ll be transferred to your lodge/ hostel in Arusha for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Departure – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

It is famous for its Lions and leopards that can be seen with no difficulty. Comes evening, we will head to our new lodge in the central part of the Serengeti for our last night in the park.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early morning breakfast at our lodge, we prepare to descend into the crater for a fantastic day of game viewing. The crater is the 8th wonder of the world and a designated world heritage site, is a collapsed volcano home to more than 30,000 animals including all of Africa’s Big Five amongst which is the critically endangered black rhino. We will also have the optional opportunity of visiting a Maasai Boma (village) should you choose to see how this magnificent tribe lives in a primitive manner. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, you will ascend from the crater and transfer back our first hotel or campsite for a night of relaxation and unwinding.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park.
Morning transfer into Tarangire National Park The park is famed for having the highest concentration of elephants in the entire world that can be seen among its spectacular baobab trees that are suspected to live for hundreds of years. It is named after the Tarangire River which is the only source of water for the animals during dry season, hence attracting lots of wildlife. Its many river circuits game driving loops will give us a chance to see plenty of animals on the river banks in search of water. After experiencing the African wild at its best, you’ll be transferred to your lodge/ hostel in Arusha for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Departure – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
This being your final day, your guide will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight. Here you’ll say our goodbyes to the guide before proceeding with boarding your departing flight to your next Destination… Thanks for choosing Lost in Africa.
