Our Safari Overview
With the same focus on the great wildebeest Migration crossing the Mara River this 10 days package adds a day at Lake Manyara National Park where you will explore the park on the second day before proceeding to the Serengeti. Just like the 9 days package, you will be able to explore the Serengeti at a relaxed pace without rush. Timed right, there is a huge chance that you will get to witness the great wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River fighting against the Crocodiles, the strong river currents as well as running from the predators that track them. The great wildebeest migration consists of over 1.5 million animals that roam to different parts of the Serengeti Throughout the year in search for greener pasture and water.

Detailed Itienerary
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport upon arrival and transfer to your accommodation in Arusha for pre-safari briefing dinner & overnight.
Meals included: Lunch and Dinner (as per arrival time). | Accommodation: Lost in Africa Arusha (Acco).
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park.
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, world famous for its tree climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, flamingos, leopards and a magnificent bird life. The park is set out on east Africa’s stunning Rift Valley landscape and has varied habitats: ranging from acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, hot springs, swamps and the lake where all its animals can be found. Well also visit a hot water spring in Lake Manyara where the water flows through volcanic rock and comes out so hot that it burns to the touch (it is said that the water is hot enough to boil an Egg we dare you to bring one for trial).

Day 3: Serengeti Central (Via Olduvai Gorge optional).
Transfer to the endless plains of Serengeti via the pre-historic world heritage site of Olduvai Gorge sometimes referred to as the Cradle of Mankind (not to be mistaken by the cradle of mankind in south Africa). This is where the famous archeologist Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary Leakey discovered the HOMOHABILIS (the earliest members of the human genus). We will take a tour of the site and later proceed into the Serengeti where we will engage in an en-route game drive to our lodge/campsite in central Serengeti for a much-needed rest dinner and overnight in preparation for the next day.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (North).
After breakfast you’ll transfer to the northern part of the Serengeti. Once there you will engage in game driving along Mara River. If we are lucky, we will get to witness spectacular river crossing by the wildebeest and zebras where they have to out smart the crocodiles, battle against the strong river currents as well as outrunning the numerous predators that track them. Our accommodation will be situated close to the migration and in some occasions, we will be able to see the herds right outside the lodge.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (North).
Spend another day in Northern Serengeti for further exploration of its magnificent animals in their raw natural habitats. In the afternoon we will go back to our lodge for a hot lunch and a short rest then leave in again for an evening of further game driving. Mornings and evenings are considered the best times for game driving as animals tend to prefer the coolness present by these times. In the evening after a sunset in the Serengeti, we will make way to our lodge for an evening of relaxation.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (North).
Three full days spend in the northern Serengeti with the herds will drastically increase your chances of seeing the river crossing at least one of the days. Apart from the great wildebeest migration, enjoy seeing other amazing animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos as well as the endangered black rhino. As usual a warm meal will be awaiting us at our lodge in the evening. We’ll Enjoy another final sunset in northern Serengeti (should you choose) Followed by an evening of leisure at our lodge.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park (Central).
Today, we will transfer to central Serengeti for a fantastic of day of game driving around the central area. The central part of Serengeti is perfect for game viewing all year round because of its abundance of wildlife due to presence of food and water throughout the year. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, we will make our way to our lodge for a night of relaxation and unwinding comes evening. We might spend the night in Serengeti or exit the park all together to spend the night in Ngorongoro ready to descend into the crater first thing in the morning.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early morning breakfast at our lodge, we prepare to descend into the crater for a fantastic day of game viewing. The crater is the 8th wonder of the world and a designated world heritage site, is a collapsed volcano home to more than 30,000 animals including all of Africa’s Big Five amongst which is the critically endangered black rhino. We will also have the optional opportunity of visiting a Maasai Boma (village) should you choose to see how this magnificent tribe lives in a primitive manner. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, you will ascend from the crater and transfer back our first hotel or campsite for a night of relaxation and unwinding.

Day 9: Tarangire National Park.
Morning transfer into Tarangire National Park The park is famed for having the highest concentration of elephants in the entire world that can be seen among its spectacular baobab trees that are suspected to live for hundreds of years. The park is named after the Tarangire River which is the only source of water for the animals during dry season, hence attracting lots of wildlife. Its many river circuits game driving loops will give us a chance to see plenty of animals on the river banks in search of water. After experiencing the African wild at its best, you’ll be transferred to your lodge/ hostel in Arusha for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

The park is set out on east Africa’s stunning Rift Valley landscape and has varied habitats: ranging from acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, hot springs, swamps and the lake where all its animals can be found. Well also visit a hot water spring in Lake Manyara where the water flows through volcanic rock and comes out so hot that it burns to the touch (it is said that the water is hot enough to boil an Egg we dare you to bring one for trial).

Day 3: Serengeti Central (Via Olduvai Gorge optional).
Transfer to the endless plains of Serengeti via the pre-historic world heritage site of Olduvai Gorge sometimes referred to as the Cradle of Mankind (not to be mistaken by the cradle of mankind in south Africa). This is where the famous archeologist Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary Leakey discovered the HOMOHABILIS (the earliest members of the human genus). We will take a tour of the site and later proceed into the Serengeti where we will engage in an en-route game drive to our lodge/campsite in central Serengeti for a much-needed rest dinner and overnight in preparation for the next day.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (North).
After breakfast you’ll transfer to the northern part of the Serengeti. Once there you will engage in game driving along Mara River. If we are lucky, we will get to witness spectacular river crossing by the wildebeest and zebras where they have to out smart the crocodiles, battle against the strong river currents as well as outrunning the numerous predators that track them. Our accommodation will be situated close to the migration and in some occasions, we will be able to see the herds right outside the lodge.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (North).
Spend another day in Northern Serengeti for further exploration of its magnificent animals in their raw natural habitats. In the afternoon we will go back to our lodge for a hot lunch and a short rest then leave in again for an evening of further game driving. Mornings and evenings are considered the best times for game driving as animals tend to prefer the coolness present by these times. In the evening after a sunset in the Serengeti, we will make way to our lodge for an evening of relaxation.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (North).
Three full days spend in the northern Serengeti with the herds will drastically increase your chances of seeing the river crossing at least one of the days. Apart from the great wildebeest migration, enjoy seeing other amazing animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos as well as the endangered black rhino. As usual a warm meal will be awaiting us at our lodge in the evening. We’ll Enjoy another final sunset in northern Serengeti (should you choose) Followed by an evening of leisure at our lodge.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park (Central).
Today, we will transfer to central Serengeti for a fantastic of day of game driving around the central area. The central part of Serengeti is perfect for game viewing all year round because of its abundance of wildlife due to presence of food and water throughout the year. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, we will make our way to our lodge for a night of relaxation and unwinding comes evening. We might spend the night in Serengeti or exit the park all together to spend the night in Ngorongoro ready to descend into the crater first thing in the morning.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early morning breakfast at our lodge, we prepare to descend into the crater for a fantastic day of game viewing. The crater is the 8th wonder of the world and a designated world heritage site, is a collapsed volcano home to more than 30,000 animals including all of Africa’s Big Five amongst which is the critically endangered black rhino. We will also have the optional opportunity of visiting a Maasai Boma (village) should you choose to see how this magnificent tribe lives in a primitive manner. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, you will ascend from the crater and transfer back our first hotel or campsite for a night of relaxation and unwinding.

Day 9: Tarangire National Park.
Morning transfer into Tarangire National Park The park is famed for having the highest concentration of elephants in the entire world that can be seen among its spectacular baobab trees that are suspected to live for hundreds of years. The park is named after the Tarangire River which is the only source of water for the animals during dry season, hence attracting lots of wildlife. Its many river circuits game driving loops will give us a chance to see plenty of animals on the river banks in search of water. After experiencing the African wild at its best, you’ll be transferred to your lodge/ hostel in Arusha for an overnight stay

Day 10: Departure – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport upon arrival and transfer to your accommodation in Arusha for pre-safari briefing dinner & overnight.
